Bradwell Flower Show a huge success

BRADWELL has celebrated its annual flower and dog show.

More than 500 people turned up to the event on Saturday August 2, making it a "very successful" day.

Sue Spiers, one of the organisers, said: "We had a huge crowd, everyone seemed to enjoy it."

She added about 60 dogs were entered into the dog show and attractions on the village recreation field included 20 stalls.

Musical entertainment was provided by a jazz band and a folk music group which alternated during the afternoon.

And, inside the village hall, talented villagers showed off their skills in a display or handicrafts, flower arrangements, cookery, fruit and vegetables.

Mrs Spiers said: "We also served cream teas on the village hall's brand new balcony which was lovely and very popular.

"It was a very successful day, we were very pleased with how it went."
