A Summer treat for a smart boy
A SUMMER holiday just got better for one smart young boy.
12-year-old Harry Dillon from Tillingham signed up to the 2Smart Summer programme and has won a Nintendo Wii.
The programme, being run by Essex Police, Essex County Council and Essex FM, aims to let children know about interesting things they can do during their Summer holiday.
And any child who signs up is automatically entered into a prize draw.
Harry said: "I am looking forward to playing on the Wii and I also plan to visit Colchester Castle and go swimming during the next few weeks."
A spokesman for Essex Police said: "The 2Smart Summer message is simple. We want young people to have a great summer while staying safe."
Young people can register by texting Essex Summer to 82122. They will only be charged once at their standard network rate and will then receive two or three texts a week with ideas about what to do.
They can also visit the website at www.2smart.co.uk/summer
