WE need your Burnham Week photos!

As one of the biggest events in the sailing calendar approaches we are asking for readers' photos of Burnham Week past and present.

This year Burnham Week sets sail on Saturday August 23 and runs through to Saturday August 30.

As usual there will be exciting sailing events and fun onshore entertainment provided by the four sailing clubs in Burnham - the Royal Burnham Yacht Club, the Royal Corinthian Yacht Club, Burnham Sailing Club and the Crouch Yacht Club.

In preparation for the Standard's annual Burnham Week supplement we are appealing for any photos from over the years which may be of interest.

They do not necessarily need to be of the sailing events as there is a lot more to it than that.

We want photos of the entertainment, the spills, thrills and historical moments as well as the blood, sweat and tears that all make it special.

The first ever Burnham Week took place more than 100 years ago so there should be plenty of photographic evidence out there.
