Police concern over A12 missiles
YOBS throwing objects from bridges over one of the country's busiest roads face the wrath of police.
Essex Police have had a number of reports items being thrown down from bridges onto the A12 over the last week, particularly in the mid-Essex area.
Chief Inspector Tom Diment said: "Throwing anything at a moving vehicle is a very dangerous criminal act which could cause people to lose their lives.
"Anyone found throwing objects onto moving vehicles can expect to be arrested and assured that we will use the full force of the justice system against them."
Police regularly patrol the road and will be paying extra attention to the areas around bridges over the coming weeks.
Anyone who sees anything suspicious on the A12 and its bridges is urged to call 999.
