Kicking clinic next week
Chelmsford's director of coaching, Eddie Gooby, is once again holding his kicking clinic, which ran very successfully last summer. It will be held in the summer holidays from July 21 to August 21.
Non-club members are also welcome to attend, the times of the sessions are 9.30am to 12.30pm and from 1pm to 4pm on Mondays and Tuesdays and again on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
The cost will be £50 for two sessions, six hours in total. All persons attending get a free rugby ball and kicking tee. For further information please contact Eddie on 07922128585 or e-mail him on e.gooby2007@btinternet.com
Chelmsford seniors commenced training last week and all club members are expected to attend in order to attain a suitable level of fitness. Any prospective new members are most welcome to go along. Turn up on Tuesdays and Thursdays evenings at 7.30pm at the clubhouse at Coronation Park.
Chelmsford Rugby club's ladies team held a very enjoyable awards night at the Saracens Head last week, all players had the opportunity of voting in each category and the successful recipients of awards were: Newcomer of the Year - Loren Nowlan, Forward of the Year - Lianne Lawrence, Back of the Year - Sara Rosser, Most Improved Player - Charlotte Wardele, Unsung Hero - Jenny Kenway and Players' Player of the Year - Bec Mascall.
Debbie Tyrie, last year's captain, presented special shirts to Jenny Kenway and Bec Mascall, as captain and vice captain for the coming season.
New players are always welcome at training, which is held on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7pm at the clubhouse, Coronation Park.
