Moore and Miller latest to join City revolution
Jeff King's latest captures were unveiled in Friday night's 4-1 victory at Canvey Island, Chelmsford City announcing the exciting arrivals of forward Chris Moore from Dagenham & Redbridge and ex-Leyton Orient right-back Justin Miller, who spent last season with Port Vale in Coca-Cola League One.
Forward Moore, 28, is best known for his time with Dagenham & Redbridge, where he netted six times in 23 starts and 24 substitute appearances last season for the Coca-Cola League Two club. Prior to a short spell with Brentford in 2006/07, where he was won in a competition by a Bees fan, he spent a longer period with the Daggers in the Conference, bagging forty-four goals in 98 games. He began his footballing life with Ryman League clubs Northwood and Uxbridge and is a representative of the Welsh semi-professional team.
Tall South African defender Miller, also 28, was with Vale last season in League One though the vast majority of his football has been played at the Matchroom Stadium where he joined the O's from Ipswich Town in 2003 following a successful loan spell. He appeared 186 times for Orient and built a well-respected reputation which makes him an important capture for the Clarets at right full-back.
