The final race in the 2008 Harwich 5K series saw another set of great results for Tiptree Road Runners.
Laura Shewbridge led the way with a new club senior ladies' record of 19:45, shrugging off recent injury problems to break through the 20-minute barrier and improve her previous best by almost 25 seconds.
Tiptree's first three men home all set personal bests. Nick Reynolds' time of 17:52 was six seconds faster than his previous, while Dave Comish took 34 seconds off with a run of 18:21 - this being his third personal best in just six days.
Charlie Golden who recently joined the club, took almost 30 seconds off his previous best with a run of 18:54 and Martin Avent completed a successful few days with his second personal best of the week, running 20:09, an improvement of more than 30 seconds.
Mark Brewer, with 18:58, and Greg McDowell, on 19:35, continued their good performances in the series, while Philip Clarke made a great start with his first run for the club, finishing third on the night in a time of 21:41.
At the other end of the age range, Nick Smith, the club's M70 5K record-holder, completed the series with a run of 31:55 and was the only club member to have improved in every race.
Other club members took advantage of the favourable conditions to record times close to their season's best for the distance - Jim Slater clocked 21:51, Rob Hadgraft 22:00, Roger Duffield 22:23, Barry Dobson 23:46, Carolyn Bownes 23:48, Matt Kett 23:50 and Helen Ivory 24:03.
This has been one of the most successful series for the club, with three new club records and 22 personal bests in the five-race series.
Elsewhere, Roger Duffield tackled the Brentwood 10K in windy conditions that only added to the difficulties of the two back-to-back hills late in the course. He finished the race in 49:10.
