Chris Swanborough jumped to glory at the English Schools in Gateshead recently.
Jumping 1.87m, 14-year-old Chris, from Burnham, took bronze at the games.
His achievements this year include being crowned both South of England champion and East of England champion.
He is considered the top highjumper in the county for his age group.
